Start Your Career in Engineering Surveying as an assistant or a junior engineer

raining for beginners and graduates is intensive, hands-on, with the aim of providing skills, confidence, and the ability to work independently.

Duration

• 5 days at weekends or a block of 5 consecutive days

•  Intended job roles: Assistant to junior engineer positions

• Pay rates: Up to £200 p/d

Beginner to Advanced Course

Become Job-Ready as a Setting Out Engineer or a land surveyor

​

This is our most popular course, providing the full skillset required to work competently on construction sites.

This course continus throughout the year from 9 to 16 days, plus one day a month for up to six more months.

​

What you will gain from this training

​

• ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Surveying

• Full understanding of site setting out skills

• Knowledge of the principles of surveying, setting out, levelling, site controls and more.

• Confidence working independently on site

Key Topics

• Total Stations (manual & robotic), GNSS surveying & site control, full range of levelling equipment.

• Alternative setting out and surveying methods, establishing site controls, datums and bench marks.

• Foundations, RC & steel frames, groundworks, external works, drainage, 

• As-built surveys, Pre-pour checks & QA procedures, understaning construction drawings

 

 

Duration: 2 weekends in one month and three weekends the next month, on both Saturdays and Sundays

Fees:10 days over two months: £2695- job roles to apply, junior engineer/surveyors-pay rates £250 p/d

           16 days over three months, ideal for beginners: £3295- job roles to apply: Setting out engineer/surveyor

            Pay rates of £250-£350 p/d

           

Training durations above are minimum attendance required and not the maximum. After the 10 or 16 days of training learners continue attending for one day a month for up to six more months to maintain competency, skills, knowledge and networking.

Beginner to enhanced level course: to be Job ready

This course is intended for those changing career into construction engineering with no prior experience in construction. It provides extended training time and extra short courses to set you apart from the competition and provide with skills that clients need.

• AutoCAD, SSSTS safety, First Aid at Work, A2 drone licence, ProQual Level 3 certificate in drone operations

• Levels 2-3 Health and Safety, Levels 1 and 2 Award in Risk Assessment

• ProQual Level 3 certificate in Occupational Work Supervision (to be studied whilst at work)

• How to work as a site and setting out engineer, quality assurance, construction drawings, 

• Construction processes, BIM and REVIT software.

• Fee: £3995 plus VAT (£4795)

Duration: Learners attend every weekend for three months, followed by one day per month thereafter for at least six more months.

Payment terms: Payment in full in advance, or by instalment.

Designed for professionals already working on-site without formal qualifications.

The Diploma in Engineering Surveying is CSCS-approved, enabling applicants to apply for the Gold CSCS Engineer Surveyor Card.
