AutoCAD for beginners, intermediate and engineers

This two-day course provides training by experienced CAD professionals. It includes one day of introduction to AutoCAD for beginners and second day dedicated for construction engineers.

My Story

Day 1

  • Introduction to AutoCAD

  • Menues, layers, templates

  • Drawing shapes, including, lines, arcs, ploygons

  • Measuring distances, areas and volumes

  • Moving, scaling objects

  • Setting coordinate systems

Next training session: Sunday 18th of January

 

Day 2: Focuses on skills which can be used to optimise control point accuracy, collect and manipulating survey data, set out using design information and calculating quantities. The content is relevant to all types of construction including earthworks, roads, houses, buildings, foundations, piles, structural steel, structures and reinforced concrete.

  • Rotating drawings

  • Changing origins, local and global systems

  • Extract coordinates from drawings into Excel

  • Import point coordinates from Excel to AutoCAD

  • Export survey data from DXF files To AutoCAD

  • Import pdf drawings
