Introduction

The Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is aimed at managers who wish to build on their strategic management and leadership skills and to focus on the requirements of implementing their organisation’s strategy.

The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). The specification for this qualification has been approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales and by the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for use by centres in Northern Ireland.

The qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is directly related to the National Occupational Standards for Management and Leadership.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

How we deliver this qualification:

As this is a work-based qualification, learners must be senior managers who set and implement strategic decisions within their company. We will conduct a professional interview to assess your current knowledge and experience to identify gaps to be covered during training.

There are no formal lectures, we will arrange with you to attend college for one to one tutorials, training, oral questioning, and a review of the evidence you have gathered at work. One of our experienced assessors will visit you at work to observe and assess your competency in practical assessment criteria.

We will contact you every few weeks to review your progress and arrange a visit to the college or for our assessor to visit you on site.

Duration: The duration of the course depends on your motivation, experience, and the time you put into gathering evidence from work. This course can be completed in 3 to 6 months, and we provide dedicated assessor support for 1 year.
