Qualification Structure

The ProQual Level 6 Diploma in Civil Engineering is an advanced qualification designed for individuals aiming to pursue a successful career in the civil engineering sector. 
 
Timetable:
We deliver this 120-credit qualification in a flexible format; learners can choose to attend on the 4th weekend of each month, on a day release, weekend afternoon sessions, or a combination of all
 
The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including Advanced surveying techniques, estimating and costing, structural engineering, construction drawings, project management, and Building Technology.
 
By the end of the course, graduates will be well-equipped to apply for jobs on complex civil engineering projects as setting-out engineers, site engineers, civil engineers, or in a design office.
 
Entry requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements, but learners must have a reasonable level of English, basic maths, and problem-solving skills.
 
Although mathematics is not included in the syllabus, we will study maths at an intermediate level, to ensure all learners develope an adequate level of maths to work as a competent civil engineer.
 
Assessments:
There are no formal exams; learners will submit written assignments and answer a series of knowledge questions. Learning will include end-of-unit tests to identify areas to improve and professional discussions. Use of AI is approved for learning but not permitted as an aid in the submission of written assignments.
 
Progression:
Upon completion of Level 6, learners can progress to Level 7, revisiting the above units in greater depth and adding further units to achieve a comprehensive understanding of Civil Engineering.
 
At the end of the course, learners can approach universities to explore options to convert their Diploma into a degree or postgraduate qualification.
 
Fees:
Level 6: £2995+VAT for existing engineers, £4995+VAT for non engineers
Level 7: Will be agreed with each learner depending on experience and existing qualifications
