Setting out by two man and robotic total stations are offered on most Saturdays and Sundays, through an initial assessment we can work out with you the extent of training you need, alternatively, you can decide when and how long a course to choose.

5 day course £1495 plus VAT (£1795), continuing to robotics instruments

  • Session 1: 3rd Sunday of any month
    • Instrument familiarisation
    • Measuring distances, heights and angles
    • Setting out methods
    • Setting out point, line and offset
      • Piles

  • Session 2: 4th Sunday
    • Extracting information from drawings for setting out
      • Manually entering setting out data to Excel spreadsheet
      • Saving in appropriate format and uploading to USB
      • Uploading data from USB to instrument
      • Setting out exercises
      • Simple roads
      • Lift shafts
      • Ground beams
      • Doors and windows
      • Drainage, manholes, gullies
      • External work

  • Session 3: 1st Saturday of the following month
    • Further setting out exercises with two man Total station and introduction to Robotics instruments
      • Simple roads

  • Session 4: 2nd Saturday
    • Further setting out and surveying robotics instruments
      • Setting out tasks

  • Session 5: 3rd Saturday
    • Using CAD drawings with Robotics instruments
      • Preparing Cad drawings
      • Saving in appropriate format and uploading to USB
      • Uploading data from USB to instrument
      • Setting out exercises
      • Surveying and saving in DXF
