Introduction

 

The ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Construction Senior Management is aimed at senior managers in the construction industry working in a wide range of job roles.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

 

Qualification structure

 

To achieve the qualification candidates must complete 4 Mandatory units in Group A plus a minimum of six units from two optional groups from Group B.

Assessment

 

This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.

 

The qualifications must be assessed in a work environment and in accordance with the ConstructionSkills’ Consolidated Assessment Strategy for Construction and the Built Environment, and it must be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.

 

Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

  • record of oral and written questioning
  • Recognition of Prior Learning

 

How we deliver this qualification:

 

As this is a work-based qualification, learners must be working as a senior site manager. You will be sent a skill scan to assess your current knowledge and experience in all assessment critera, this will identify gaps to be covered during training.

 

There are no formal lectures, we will arrange with you to attend college for one to one tutorials, training, oral questioning, and a review of the evidence you have gathered at work. One of our experienced assessors will visit you at work to observe and assess your competency in practical assessment criteria.

 

We will be in touch with you every few weeks to review your progress and arrange a visit to the college or our assessor to visit you on site. As there are 19 units in this qualification and hundreds of questions to answer, we will help you to complete some of these to oral questioning either at the college or on site during the visits.

 

Duration: The duration of the course depends on your motivation, experience and the time you put into the gathering of evidences from work. This course can be completed in 3 to 6 months, we provide a dedicated assessor support for 1 year.
