The NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (City & Guilds 6576) is usually completed in the workplace and demonstrates competency against the National
Occupational Standards.
It is a competency qualification in the Construction Building Apprenticeship Framework (England and Wales) (Occupational Work Supervision pathway).
This qualification is aimed at experienced workers in
a technical, managerial or supervisory role (e.g. foreman) who are seeking to develop their competence and improve their skills and knowledge.
Structure
To achieve the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) (6576-03), learners must achieve 67 credits:
• 52 credits must be from the mandatory units, and
• a minimum of 15 credits from the optional units.

Implementing and maintaining health, safety and welfare in the workplace

Co-ordinating and organising work operations in the workplace

Unit no. 355, credits: 9, level 3
Allocating and monitoring the use of plant, machinery or equipment in the workplace
Unit no. 356, credits: 9, level 3
Monitoring progress of work against schedules in the workplace
Unit no. 357, credits: 9, level 3
Confirming work meets quality standards in the workplace

Implementing procedures to support the team’s performance in the workplace
